Client revision pricing

How to charge for extra client revisions without making the conversation weird.

Extra revisions become awkward when they are discussed after the work is already done. Charge cleanly by moving the decision to the moment the request appears.

Use this when:

The included revision rounds are already used. The client is changing direction after approval.A small request is likely to create real production time.
1

Point back to the included rounds

Keep the tone neutral. Acknowledge the request, then reference the original number of included revisions and show that this is a new round.

Quote the revision as a fixed decision

A fixed change-order amount is usually easier to approve than an open hourly estimate. Price it based on time, coordination, QA, and opportunity cost.

Offer one tradeoff

If the client is budget-sensitive, offer to swap the new revision for an existing lower-priority item. This protects your margin without forcing a yes.
